It will be wise for you do not try to use the Void or Plague Bolt if you are being hit by mobs, the cast time will be slowed down by attacks, and the amount of the damage compared to the Neural Prod does not match up. You can do your best the Soul Purge ability as soon as you are able to. This ability will do a great amount of damage to the mobs as well as healing you and your pet.
When you can start casting Soul Purge you will be able pull even more mobs at one time with easy. Another advantage of this is that you even able to kill the Elite mobs and that will be much more easier. Send your pet as tanks and you can keep it healed while do damage to the Elite Mobs.
After you have able to use the Soul Purge you can start going in a number of abilities chose, and it depend on how you want to play your character. And below we will introduce some abilities which you will want to pick up along the way!
The Necromancer Soul the abilities you may want are Life Bane, Ancient Tomb, Empty, Crypts, Feign Death and the Lich Form.

The Warlock and Necromancer souls are the best choice for leveling up, as we;; as a pretty decent damage souls for instance casts, lots of dots, self heals and great amount of damage output, especially the pet will be a great tank for pulling multiple mobs!
