Miners will always be able to earn in-game Eve ISK while scouts and battle ships will be able to earn Eve ISK by destroying other vessels and indirect trading. Many players will often work in groups to earn Eve ISK. Due to the fact that mining frigates are incapable of battle they are almost always targets of raids and attacks. Therefore miners will often hire guards such as scout vessels and battle frigates to provide protection from attacks.
